Trans nzoia: The Trans Nzoia County Public Service Board has signed a performance appraisal in a move aimed at enhancing accountable, efficient and effective service delivery. Presiding over the exercise at the county headquarters, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya termed the exercise as a major step towards ensuring transparency and excellence in public service delivery.
According to Kenya News Agency, Natembeya highlighted that the performance contracts would align efforts within the public service towards efficient resource management, leading to improved performance standards and better outcomes. He emphasized the importance of this initiative by describing it as an essential milestone that reinforces a shared commitment to accountability, transparency, and excellence in service delivery.
Governor Natembeya urged the Board members to view the performance appraisal tool as a mechanism for enhancing their services and professional development. The County Public Service Board, established under the County Governments, is tasked with building a competent and efficient workforce capable of delivering quality services to residents while upholding the values of integrity and accountability.
Among its key responsibilities, the Board oversees human resource management, ensuring fair recruitment processes, promotions, discipline, and professionalism. The signing ceremony was attended by Trans Nzoia County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, and other county officials.
