Cotton Futures Close Flat on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange


Zhengzhou: Cotton futures closed flat Wednesday in daytime trading on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE). The most active cotton contract for September 2025 delivery settled at 13,265 yuan (approximately 1,845.3 U.S. dollars) per tonne.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the total trading volume for the six listed cotton futures contracts on the ZCE reached 236,696 lots, with a turnover amounting to 15.66 billion yuan. China, recognized as the world’s largest producer, consumer, and exporter of textiles, introduced cotton futures on the ZCE in June 2004. This initiative aimed to assist cotton-related enterprises in managing price risks.
