The Prime Minister, Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambela, received in audience, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in Ouagadougou, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Burkina Faso, Youssef Slaoui.
Burkina Faso and the Kingdom of Morocco intend to continue and strengthen their bilateral cooperation. The question was at the center of discussions between the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Burkina Faso, Youssef Slaoui and the Prime Minister, Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem, during an audience held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in Ouagadougou .
Indeed, the Moroccan diplomat declared, upon leaving the audience, that the discussions focused on the progress of bilateral cooperation, particularly following the holding in Morocco of the 4th session of the Commission mixed cooperation.
Youssef Slaoui announced that the abolition of visas is now effective, giving free movement and priority to Burkinabè citizens. For him, it is about strengthening ‘these excellent cooperative relations’ and implementi
ng everything that has been agreed in terms of agreements.
‘We talked about cooperation in scientific and technical matters, the quota of scholarships which was 70 and which was recently increased,’ indicated Youssef Slaoui.
He stressed that the quota has now reached the figure of 250 scholarships for the year. In addition to this, the areas of cooperation between the two countries, according to the Moroccan diplomat, are tourism, integrated water management, etc. For Mr. Slaoui, Burkina Faso and Morocco have a density of bilateral relations and a wealth.
