Treviso: Father Steven Makosso, a priest from Congo Brazzaville, called on the Burkinabe community to support President Ibrahim Traor for his dedication to the development of Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Father Makosso, who serves in the Archdiocese of Pointe-Noire, addressed the Burkinabe Catholic community during a Mass in Treviso, Italy. His message emphasized the importance of backing President Traor, whom he described as a determined and commendable leader.

Father Makosso highlighted the progress in Burkina Faso's infrastructure under President Traor, mentioning construction projects and road developments as notable achievements. He urged national and interfaith unity amidst the country's security and humanitarian challenges, calling on Christians, Muslims, and other religious groups to support the current authorities.

Sylvain Banc, President of the French-speaking Catholic community of Treviso, supported Father Makosso's message. He assured that President Traor has their unwavering support and praised his efforts in raising Burkina Faso's international profile. Banc emphasized the harmonious coexistence with Burkinabe brothers and followers of other faiths, fostering a supportive community.

The Mass, conducted in French, was followed by a fellowship gathering, strengthening community ties among attendees. Notable participants included Christophe Lankoand, delegate of the High Council of Burkinab¨ Abroad, and His Majesty Naaba Youga, chief of Boura de Garango. They commended President Traor's initiatives to promote Burkinab¨ traditions, including a day dedicated to indigenous cultural values.
