Addis Ababa: An international conference aimed at enhancing financial resilience within Ethiopia’s agricultural communities is currently taking place in Addis Ababa. The three-day conference brought together government officials, development partners, and pertinent stakeholders from various countries of the world to share knowledge, shape policy innovations, and explore ways to expand agricultural insurance.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the conference intends to strengthen smallholder farmers’ financial resilience to climate change through innovative agricultural insurance programs in the country. The event focuses on issues such as Ethiopia’s agricultural insurance landscape, global best practices, policy discussions, case studies, institutionalizing agricultural insurance, and financing strategies for implementation, among others.
