Compaore Sayouba Appointed as President of Safane School Councils

Mouhoun: The President of the special delegation of the municipality of Safane, Ali Traore, presided over the ceremony for the establishment of the municipal executive office of the school councils of post-primary and secondary establishments on Thursday, March 19, 2026. The meeting brought together stakeholders from the local education system, alongside decentralized technical services as well as customary and religious authorities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Sayouba Compaore, representing the town hall, was appointed president of the executive office, in accordance with the regulations in force. The President of the special delegation, Ali Traore, emphasized the need to make school a shared responsibility and invited stakeholders to demonstrate increased commitment, promote transparency in management, and encourage local initiatives to improve the functioning of institutions.

On behalf of the heads of institutions, Simon Sawadogo, the principal of the Safane Departmental High School, congratulated the newly established board members and urged them to be available and have a sense of duty. The representative of the canton chief, Salfo Sere, expressed appreciation for the strong mobilization of participants and called for strengthened involvement to achieve the objectives assigned to the school councils.
