Banfora: The Minister of Basic Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, conducted a supervisory tour in Banfora to observe the readiness for the 2025 session of the CEP exam. During his visit, he held a videoconference to assess organizational progress with regional directors.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Regional Director of Basic Education, Literacy, and Language Promotion for the Cascades region expressed confidence in Banfora’s preparations for a successful 2025 session. The director also highlighted advancements in the SIGEC results management software.
Directors from twelve other regions reported on their local session preparations. The Sahel region, noted for security challenges, successfully transported examination materials and personnel by helicopter, with further transfers pending for areas hosting CEP and BEPC exams.
In the East, preparations are proceeding similarly, although difficulties in organizing the CQP due to low candidate numbers have been noted. A catch-up session could be arranged to address this issue.
Overall, the organizational timeline is on track, with emergency situations managed individually, including helicopter transport and relocation needs.
Minister Dingara emphasized the importance of adhering to the monitoring framework and shared responsibilities, which were previously centralized until 2024. He expressed satisfaction with the current progress, offering congratulations and encouraging continued diligence in monitoring until completion.
During his visit, Mr. Dingara also took the opportunity to visit examination centers, encouraging candidates and advising them to remain calm and focused on their exams.
