Community Entrepreneurship: APEC Notes the Progress of Construction Work on the Tomato Processing Plant in Tenkodogo

Tenkodogo: The Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), Mr. Karim TraorE, visited the construction site of the tomato processing plant in Tenkodogo, NakambE. The objective was clear: to update the investors on the progress of the work and reassure them that their commitment would be fulfilled.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the CEO observed with satisfaction that the administrative and industrial buildings are practically complete. He also noted the arrival of all the equipment, ready to be installed and begin testing. Although the opening, initially planned for April, has been slightly delayed, this postponement is due to a desire to incorporate technical improvements to create a more efficient facility.

Mr. TraorE assured that the equipment installation will begin very soon and that testing will validate the start of production. Producers will then be informed to prepare the industrial unit's supply.

As a reminder, the tomato processing plant in Tenkodogo is one of the first three projects implemented and managed by APEC through the innovative mechanism of popular shareholding. This initiative, championed by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim TraorE, is part of a vision of endogenous development and economic sovereignty, by promoting local production and creating job opportunities for the population.

Through this approach, APEC reaffirms its commitment to promoting community entrepreneurship as a lever for social and economic transformation, and to guaranteeing transparency towards subscribers.
