Communications Development Support Fund to Enhance Rural Access to Services

Luanda: The Communications Development Support Fund (FADCOM) will maintain its focus on advancing current projects and enhancing access to communication services for rural communities, according to the institution's executive director, L­gia Vunge. This statement came during a press conference following her inauguration ceremony in Luanda.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Vunge emphasized the necessity of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the institution's operations and team dynamics as an immediate priority. This approach aims to bolster FADCOM's mission in the communication sector. The fund, managed by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies, and Social Communication, is committed to facilitating communication services in rural areas and developing the essential network infrastructure supporting most telecommunications networks.

In addition to Vunge, the executive secretary of FADCOM, Arnaldo dos Santos, and heads of the Radio and Press department of CEFOJOR, Judith Andenji, and Television and Multimedia, Diogo Cuti, were also inaugurated. During the ceremony, the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Social Communication encouraged the newly appointed officials to prioritize teamwork to foster national development.
