Ouagadougou: The various organizing committees of the 10th edition of the Bayir Daar© of the Boulsa parish are now hard at work to ensure the success of this parish event scheduled for August 8 and 9, 2026. The parish priest of Boulsa, Father Constant Ou©draogo, assisted by the vicar, Father Sosth¨ne Sawadogo, presided on June 25, 2026, over a preparatory meeting with the presidents of the organizing committees for this edition, which was themed: "Sons and daughters of the parish of Boulsa, in faith and hope, with patriotism, let us work for peace."
According to Burkina Information Agency, awareness and mobilization campaigns are already underway in several locations in Burkina Faso to reach out to members of the Boulsa parish and invite them to participate in this major gathering. Bayir Daar©, which means "return home" in the Moor© language, is an initiative introduced to the Boulsa parish in 2006 by Father Eloi Bamogo, following a similar experience in the Dissin parish. This meeting aims to bring together the sons and daughters of the parish residing inside and outside the country in order to strengthen fraternal bonds, promote exchanges and reflect together on the challenges of the parish community in order to find solutions.
At the opening of the meeting, the priest invited the heads of the various commissions to show commitment and inspiration in developing their action plans in order to ensure the smooth running of the planned activities. After the opening prayer, Father Constant Ou©draogo reviewed the composition and responsibilities of the committees from the previous year. This exercise allowed for the replacement of unavailable members and a reminder of the missions assigned to each committee.
The heads of the catering, equipment and transport, T¨ebraaga (faith market), liturgy, sports, culture and leisure, and reception and accommodation committees have committed to developing their activity plans taking into account the objectives pursued by Bayir Daar©.
For his first presidency of a preparatory meeting of the Bayir Daar©, Father Constant Ou©draogo gave thanks to God for the achievements recorded and urged the various commissions to continue their efforts in a spirit of service. He also called on all parishioners, as well as friends and supporters of the parish, to support the organization of this 10th edition through their contributions and active participation.
