Combined Schools Gear Up for Mwadhina Gwanembenge CS Tournament at UNAM

OSHAKATI — The University of Namibia (UNAM) Oshakati campus will host the second edition of the Mwadhina Gwanembenge Combined School tournament this weekend, featuring 39 teams from local schools across four regions.

According to Namibia Press Agency, school principal Immanuel Aron revealed in a Wednesday interview that the school has dedicated N.dollars 20,000 to ensure the event’s success. The competition, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, includes categories such as boys football, girls football, and netball. The participating teams hail from the Oshana, Oshikoto, Ohangwena, and Omusati regions. Aron emphasized the tournament’s aim to provide a vibrant platform for young students to engage and exhibit their skills in a fun and competitive environment.

Further bolstering the event, the school received sports gear sponsorships from Old Mutual and Nawa Pharmacy, enhancing the resources available for this significant educational and sporting event.
