Columnist Urges AES Leaders to Build Revolution Rooted in Culture

OUAGADOUGOU – Political columnist Kelgwendé André Sawadogo on Thursday called upon the leaders of the African Economic System (AES) to establish a revolutionary system founded on culture and agriculture to enhance economic governance in Africa. Speaking at the launch of the second issue of his political chronicle Le devenir Africain, Sawadogo emphasized the importance of creating governance systems grounded in African cultural values.

According to Burkina Information Agency, building such a system would require suspending Constitutions and establishing transitional legislative assemblies that legislate through ordinances. He argued that the key to legitimate governance lies in culture, which would provide a foundation for viable economic systems that can shield Africa from external globalist influences.

Sawadogo also proposed overhauling the education system to prioritize cultural principles, which he believes will empower AES states to capitalize on their cultural and natural resources for local development. He maintained that cultural legitimacy would allow member states to govern more effectively without external interference.
