Collective Fast Break in Djibo Aims to Foster Social Cohesion

Soum/djibo: A collective break to strengthen social cohesion: The provincial coordination of women's and youth organizations of Djibo organized a collective breaking of the fast on Saturday at the Djibo town hall grounds, aimed at strengthening social cohesion and promoting unity within the Soum province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was led by the High Commissioner of the Soum province, Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma, and was attended by various administrative authorities, community leaders, as well as numerous young people and women. The event served as a platform for participants to unite in prayer, seeking divine intervention for peace and social harmony in Soum and throughout Burkina Faso.

The initiative, spearheaded by women's and youth organizations in Djibo, is a response to the security challenges facing the region. It seeks to fortify the bonds among the different segments of the population. During the gathering, organizers emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity as vital values for maintaining social cohesion and fostering communal living.
