Collective Breaking of the Fast Unites Communities in Hounde

Hounde: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch (CNAVC) of Tuy organized a collective breaking of the fast on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Hounde to foster fraternity and demonstrate social cohesion among communities. Members of the citizen watch gathered at "Captain Ibrahim Traore" square for the event.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony saw the participation of several leaders and members from religious and traditional communities, alongside local administrative and municipal authorities. The event was highlighted by the sharing of a communal meal, symbolizing unity and collective spirit.

Religious leaders and other stakeholders took the opportunity to pray for peace, social cohesion, and harmonious coexistence in the province and throughout Burkina Faso. They also highlighted the importance of young people's roles in ensuring the smooth progress of the Revolution.

Issiaka Segda, the high commissioner of Tuy province, emphasized that the initiative strengthens social cohesion and living together. He expressed gratitude towards CNAVC for organizing the event and acknowledged the contributions of everyone involved in its success.

He urged the different communities to unite further and intensify their prayers. The high commissioner expressed confidence that these prayers would support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in their fight against terrorism, ultimately leading to the restoration of peace in Burkina Faso.
