Collective Breaking of Fast in Tenkodogo Highlights Unity Among FDS and VDP Soldiers

Tenkodogo: The Regional Director of the National Police of the Center-East, Fran§ois Sawadogo, organized a collective breaking of the Muslim fast and Christian Lent within the Regional Directorate of the National Police in Tenkodogo. This event saw the participation of military personnel, FDS, VDP, and members of various religious denominations, all gathered to share in prayer for peace and social cohesion in Burkina Faso.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony aimed to foster community ties and give thanks, with the Divisional Commissioner emphasizing the importance of social cohesion for achieving peace and security in the region. After the break and the Maghrib prayer, Sawadogo addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of listening to defense and security forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism and urging communities to support these efforts through prayer.



The president of the Muslim community, El Hadj Ousmane Balima, praised the initiative for promoting social cohesion and supporting the soldiers engaged on the front lines. Similarly, the representative of the Sunni community, El Hadj Abdou Rachid Kouraogo, expressed gratitude for the event’s success and called for prayers for the fallen FDS soldiers and their families.



The event concluded with a collective prayer at 7:30 p.m., reinforcing the message of unity and the shared goal of peace in the region.
