Coalla Special Delegation Reviews Four Years of Municipal Management

Coalla: The special delegation of the municipality of Coalla, led by its president, Mr. Abdourazac GANSORE, organized an accountability day at the Bogand© town hall, reviewing the period from 2022 to 2025. The event aimed to enhance transparency and foster citizen participation and dialogue in managing local public affairs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was held under challenging circumstances, prompting Coalla's municipal authorities to relocate, impacting the usual operations and certain development projects. The special delegation presented significant achievements during the past four years to administrative authorities, community leaders, and the public.

The delegation reported a rise in municipal revenues from 9 million FCFA in 2022 to 24 million FCFA in 2025, attributed to improved resource mobilization strategies and heightened taxpayer awareness despite existing constraints. In the health sector, initiatives included constructing a complete CSPS, providing six YBR motorcycles to health facilities, electrifying CSPS, and acquiring four ambulance tricycles for patient evacuation.

In vocational training and youth employment, 26 young people received start-up kits, and a special program enabled 10 young individuals to obtain driver's licenses. Education interventions included awarding 60 scholarships to vulnerable students and acquiring necessary supplies for the Coalla Basic Education District (CEB), relocated to Manni.

Water and sanitation efforts saw the drilling of 13 boreholes in villages with drinking water shortages. In social and humanitarian efforts, 10.3 tons of food were distributed to vulnerable internally displaced persons from Coalla residing in Manni and Bogand©.

The agriculture and livestock sectors benefited from three newly established vaccination parks, and production capacities in seven cooperatives were enhanced. Environmental protection efforts included planting 7,500 seedlings and providing 260 truckloads of rubble for stone bund construction.

Mr. GANSORE emphasized optimizing public spending, maintaining dialogue with citizens, and addressing city council liabilities through awareness and empowerment. Participants praised the municipal authorities' dedication amid security challenges, with provincial secretary general Mendien dit Moussa Soma urging further mobilization from Coalla's community.
