Dj´r´: The National Coordination of the Old Citizen (CNAVC), Dj´r´ section, organized a march-meeting this Saturday to commemorate the third year of the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR II) and reaffirm its support for Captain Ibrahim Traore and the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). Starting from Place de la Nation in Gaoua, the demonstrators marched to the Thomas Sankara monument before heading to the governorate where a message was delivered to the regional authorities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Rene Hien, president of the CNAVC Dj´r´ section, delivered a speech paying tribute to the Head of State and praised Captain Traore's efforts in restoring the sovereignty, security, and independence of Burkina Faso. He expressed gratitude to the Defense and Security Forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, and all the martyrs of the nation. Hien emphasized that the reforms undertaken over the past three years by the MPSR II have strengthened the operational capabilities of the army, refined strategies on the ground, and restored the people's confidence.
The CNAVC also acknowledged the government's efforts to regain control of natural resources, particularly mining resources, and reduce public debt to revive the national economy. However, a call for continued vigilance against disinformation was made, urging every citizen to be disciplined, patriotic, and supportive. Hien particularly invited young people to mobilize to meet the challenges of the moment, stating, "No one will come to develop Burkina Faso in place of the Burkinabe people."
Representing the governor of Dj´r´, the high commissioner of Poni, Bepampo Ouoba, praised the CNAVC initiative and the strong mobilization of the youth of Dj´r´. He noted that this commitment is a vital energy source to support leadership actions and assured that the message conveyed would be relayed to the relevant authorities.
