CNAVC Distributes Equipment to Enhance Community Unity in Kenedougou

Kenedougou: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch (CNAVC), communal section, handed over equipment on Sunday, April 26, 2026, to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the youth of Banzon, on the occasion of an inter-ethnic football match initiated by the district police commissioner, Salifou Kabre.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this equipment includes raincoats for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), sets of jerseys and balls for each village, and benches for community watch activities. The initiative is part of efforts to bolster social cohesion among the different communities residing in Banzon.

The district police commissioner, Salifou Kabre, highlighted that the event is aimed at strengthening relationships and fostering peace and harmonious coexistence through communal activities. The inter-ethnic football match serves as a platform for interaction and unity among the diverse groups in the area.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), local dignitaries, and a large crowd of residents, all gathered to express their support for the initiative. The event underscored the community's commitment to civic engagement and collective harmony.
