Nayala: The Bangr© Nooma Vocational Training Center in Kolan celebrated the closing of its training season on Saturday to promote the empowerment of women through apprenticeships. The event highlighted the center’s achievements and recognized the efforts of its participants and organizers.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Belle Espoir Association, Kientega Pascal, praised the efforts of the women and youth of Kolan, emphasizing that their work in fields and sewing workshops benefits the entire nation. He also paid tribute to the center’s director, Rassa Couture, for her contribution to empowering women through training in the manufacture of K´k´ Dunda and expressed hope for government support in building the association’s headquarters.
The regional director of youth, employment, vocational, and technical training, F©lix Sibiri, encouraged the learners to persevere in their work while inviting partners to support their initiatives. He stressed the importance of community engagement for local development.
Customary Chief Pascal Gouran© opened the ceremony by welcoming the guests and spoke of the need to create this type of activity for the community. One of the training beneficiaries, on behalf of her classmates, thanked the promoter for her patience and listening and expressed the wish for continued support from the authorities for the women in training.
According to the High Commissioner of the province, Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, the complaints expressed by the learners will be examined and addressed. He praised the efforts of the trainers and invited the community to work together for development, recalling that progress depends on collective commitment.
The ceremony ended with the presentation of certificates to the learners, symbolizing their dedication to a job well done. The event brought together personalities including the High Commissioner of Nayala Province, the Regional Director of Youth, as well as local authorities.
