Zawara: The Zawara departmental high school vibrated to the rhythm of patriotism on Tuesday, where students were sensitized to this effect, under the chairmanship of the head of mission of the Presidency of Faso to the Nando region Florent Pema Neya, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at precisely 7:20 a.m., the Victory Anthem rang out, marking a key milestone in the awareness campaign launched in the region, under the chairmanship of Mr. Florent Pema Neya, the representative of the Presidency of Burkina Faso to the Nando region, and in the presence of administrative, military, traditional, and religious authorities. The raising of the flag was the culmination of an exemplary citizen mobilization.
Following Nedialpoun and Zamo, this visit to Zawara confirms the authorities' commitment to strengthening the bond between nation and citizen. In his address, Mr. Neya reaffirmed the importance of national unity; paid a heartfelt tribute to the security forces and volunteers for their sacrifice; and praised the resilience of the teaching staff, pillars of the transmission of values.
Beyond the formalities, the day was marked by an educational awareness session. The provincial director (DPESFPT) of Sanguie, Ms. Rasmata GrSce Guingane, used a participatory approach to teach students about the seven values of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
Emphasis was placed on protecting youth from social ills such as the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and shisha, as well as the devastating impact of illegal gold mining on academic performance.
The regional director in charge of secondary education, Bienzi Didier Pare, emphasized: "Seek wisdom and knowledge rather than easy gold. With the restructuring of our vocational education system, you are the architects of tomorrow's development," thus encouraging the students to persevere.
The message seems to have had an impact. Indeed, the student representative said he was "enlightened" by these exchanges, stating that this knowledge will allow young people to be more involved in building the Nation.
On her way back, the provincial director made a point of visiting the Tiodie CEG (General Education College) and the Notre-Dame de Fatima private high school in Tita. This symbolic stop was to express her gratitude to those working on the ground who, despite sometimes precarious conditions, continue to champion education.
