Citizen Vigilance Mobilizes Around the National Flag at the Municipal High School

Ouagadougou: The Sapouy Citizen Watch organized a solemn flag-raising ceremony this Thursday at the city's municipal high school, under the chairmanship of Ourob¨ Dioma, prefect, president of the special delegation (PDS), in the presence of several administrative officials, local stakeholders, teaching staff and students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative is part of a dynamic to promote civic-mindedness, patriotism, and civic engagement, within the framework of the JEPPC, particularly among young students who are highly mobilized for the occasion. In an atmosphere filled with patriotic fervor, the participants sang the national anthem, reflecting their attachment to the values of the Nation and their desire to actively contribute to its development.

The president of the Sapouy Citizen Watch, Nyoua Tagnan, praised the strong mobilization of local stakeholders and emphasized the importance of such activities in strengthening social cohesion. "This flag-raising ceremony is a powerful symbol of our shared commitment to the nation. It reminds each of us of our civic duty and our responsibility in building a united and prosperous Burkina Faso," he declared.

Presiding over the ceremony, the prefect, president of the special delegation of Sapouy, praised the citizen watch initiative. He offered advice to the students, urging them to demonstrate discipline, diligence in their studies, and respect for republican values. He also stressed the importance of promoting the consumption of local products, urging people to prioritize "buying local" in order to support the national economy and strengthen the country's self-reliance.

The ceremony ended in a friendly atmosphere, marked by exchanges between participants and a renewed commitment to civic duty and patriotism.
