Cinkans: The Days for the Promotion of Social Cohesion and Living Together, organized by the young leaders of the commune of Yargatenga in collaboration with the BRICS project, continued on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in the grounds of the "C" school in Cinkans.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this second edition of the Days for the Promotion of Social Cohesion and Living Together was focused on community dialogue, aimed at strengthening the links between host populations and internally displaced persons (IDPs) amidst security challenges and social tensions. The objective was to create a framework for direct exchanges among the different community components, to foster solidarity, mutual acceptance, and social harmony beyond distinctions of origin, ethnicity, or religion.

The event gathered traditional and religious leaders, IDP representatives, and members of the host populations to discuss local mechanisms for conflict prevention, collaboration, and peaceful coexistence. Mr. Diessongo Yahaya, president of the young leaders of the commune, emphasized the importance of dialogue for social cohesion and urged the community to collaborate in combating threats to peace.

Participants appreciated the open dialogue and quality interventions, which aimed at preventing misunderstandings and strengthening mutual trust. Mr. Diessongo expressed gratitude to local authorities, the BRICS project, and the PATRIP Foundation for their support, highlighting the initiative as a response to the challenges posed by population displacement.

The event, held from November 28 to 29, successfully brought together host populations and IDPs around the ideals of peace and unity. Through dialogue and consultation, the young leaders and their partners have contributed to reinforcing social resilience and encouraging harmonious coexistence in the commune. Participants concluded the event with a collective commitment to preserve stability and build a community of solidarity amidst current challenges.
