Chuncheon - Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew received a warm reception in Chuncheon, where they paid tribute to Ethiopian veterans of the Korean War. The couple laid a wreath at the veterans' monument and visited the Memorial Hall, dedicated to the Ethiopian Kagnew Battalion's contributions during the conflict.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, The Office of the Prime Minister highlighted that the hall not only commemorates the sacrifices of Ethiopian soldiers but also serves to strengthen the historical bonds between Ethiopia and South Korea. The visit forms part of an official trip that includes the Prime Minister's participation in the upcoming Korea-Africa Summit, scheduled for June 4th and 5th, under the theme 'The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity'.
