Koosin: Christian faithful paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), this Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Bourasso, on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Christ.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Christian faithful of Bourasso gathered to honor and pray for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) during their Christmas celebration. The event was characterized by songs and dances, featuring both modern and traditional musical instruments, with the participation of military authorities from the Bourasso detachment.

The day's speaker, Pastor Moussa Traore, emphasized the joy of the occasion, stating, "We celebrate with complete joy in peace and divine protection." The congregation's prayers focused on acknowledging the patriotism and dedication of the FDS and VDP.

In addition to prayers, the congregation expressed wishes for health, peace, and divine protection for the defense forces and the Head of State. The ceremony concluded with blessings from the church's senior pastor, Simeon Coulibaly, who encouraged the attendees to celebrate with modesty and sharing.
