Luanda: A total of 103 new cases of cholera were registered in the last 24 hours in the provinces of Huíla, with 40 cases, Lunda-Norte (21), Cuanza-Sul (19), Cabinda (7), Luanda (6), Namibe (5), Cuanza-Norte (3), Bengo and Icolo and Bengo (1).
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Ministry of Health’s information bulletin, which updates the numbers, reports that since the outbreak began in January, a cumulative total of 26,423 cases have been reported. The data includes 6,902 cases in Luanda, 4,715 in Benguela, 3,059 in Bengo, and 2,635 in Namibe.
Further details from the bulletin reveal that 2,553 cases were reported in Cuanza-Sul, 2,210 in Cuanza-Norte, 1,275 in Icolo and Bengo, 1,152 in Malanje, 1,014 in Huíla, 333 in Cabinda, 277 in Lunda-Norte, 177 in Zaire, 59 in Cubango, 41 in Huambo, 16 in Uíge, and 2 each in Bié and Cunene, along with 1 case in Lunda-Sul.
