Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday sent a message of condolence to South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola over the severe flooding in the country. In his message, Wang expressed shock over the impact of severe rainstorms and snowstorms that have devastated Eastern Cape Province and other regions, resulting in significant casualties and property damage.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, extended his deep condolences to the victims of the floods and offered sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured. He emphasized his confidence that, under the leadership of the South African government, the affected communities will overcome the challenges and rebuild their homes swiftly.
