Chinese Embassy in Romania Marks Dual Anniversaries with National Day Reception

CAIRO - The Chinese embassy in Romania celebrated two major milestones on Monday: the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China and 75 years of diplomatic ties between China and Romania, hosting a grand reception to commemorate these occasions.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Chinese Ambassador to Romania, Han Chunlin, spoke at the event, affirming the commitment to deepen ties through initiatives like the Belt and Road and the China-Central and Eastern European cooperation frameworks. Ambassador Han emphasized the goal of bolstering bilateral exchanges and cooperation across various sectors to benefit both nations mutually.

Petre-Florin Manole, Vice-Chairman of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies, highlighted China as a crucial partner for Romania. He outlined Romania's dedication to strengthening cooperation based on mutual interests and respect. Manole also pointed to enhancing bilateral trade, diversifying investments, and exploring new avenues in culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges as key areas of focus.

The event saw participation from over 600 guests, including prominent figures from Romanian society, international diplomats, representatives from Chinese businesses, and members of the Chinese diaspora in Romania.
