Chinese-Burkinabe Entrepreneur Li Yubao Contributes Over 465 Million FCFA to Burkina Faso’s Peace Efforts

OUAGADOUGOU — Chinese entrepreneur Li Yubao, who naturalized in Burkina Faso last year, has made significant financial contributions to support the country’s peace efforts, totaling more than 465 million FCFA.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on June 14, Li Yubao handed over a check for 44 million FCFA to the patriotic support fund. This followed a substantial donation of over 421 million FCFA six months earlier, aimed at equipping and caring for volunteers defending the homeland. These contributions bring his total donations to more than 465 million FCFA. Li Yubao is the CEO of China Yunong International Holding and has become a symbol of generosity and commitment to Burkina Faso.

The ceremony, where Li presented the latest donation, was attended by key figures including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean Marie Karamoko Traoré, and Daouda Bitié, the ambassador of Burkina Faso in Beijing. Minister Traoré praised Li’s contributions, expressing hope that his spirit of generosity and conviction in Burkina Faso’s future would inspire other investors to recognize and utilize the potential of the country.
