Yangon: Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia presented Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) packages to representatives of major overseas Chinese groups and Chinese schools in Yangon on Friday, sending blessings from their ancestral country. Ma emphasized the importance of the overseas Chinese community in fostering exchanges and cooperation between China and Myanmar and encouraged leveraging the 75th anniversary of China-Myanmar diplomatic relations to strengthen the bond between the two nations.
According to Namibia Press Agency, representatives of the overseas Chinese community expressed their excitement and appreciation for the packages, which they described as full of care and warmth. They pledged to continue using their strengths to enhance the friendship between the people of China and Myanmar and deepen the “Paukphaw” (fraternal) friendship between the two countries.
The Chinese New Year packages included gifts such as Spring Festival couplets and Chinese knots, embodying the rich cultural elements of the Spring Festival.
