China’s Top Legislator and Ecuadorian President Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Beijing: China’s top legislator Zhao Leji met with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in Beijing on Friday. Zhao, chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, emphasized the positive development momentum in the relationship between China and Ecuador, which has been fostered under the strategic guidance of their respective heads of state.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Zhao expressed China’s willingness to collaborate with Ecuador to implement the important consensus reached by their leaders. He highlighted the importance of carrying forward the traditional friendship and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation to enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Zhao conveyed that the NPC is prepared to work with Ecuador’s National Assembly to enhance exchanges at all legislative levels, aiming to provide legal support for practical cooperation. He noted the mutual trust and respect that have characterized the relationship between Ecuador and China.

President Noboa expressed gratitude for China’s support and assistance during challenging periods. He emphasized the hope that the legislative institutions of both nations will strengthen friendly exchanges and dialogues, creating more opportunities to promote the development of Ecuador-China relations and enhance the friendship between their peoples.
