China’s Logistics Sector Experiences Steady Growth in November.

Beijing: China’s logistics sector continued its steady expansion in November, propelled by increasing logistics demand, as revealed by an industry report on Wednesday. The index measuring the country’s logistics market reached 52.8 percent for the month, marking a 0.2 percentage point increase from October and representing the highest level recorded this year.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the growth in business volume is well-distributed across China’s eastern, central, and western regions. In the eastern and western regions, the business volume index surpassed 52 percent, with month-on-month increases of 0.3 and 0.2 percentage points, respectively. Meanwhile, the central region’s business volume index rose to 53.7 percent, gaining 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, significantly exceeding the national average.

Industry-specific indices also demonstrated robust performance, with the business volume index for railway transportation, air transportation, and postal express delivery rea
ching 55.8 percent, 56.2 percent, and 70.6 percent, respectively.

Furthermore, on Tuesday, the government announced a comprehensive plan to establish a modern commercial circulation system. This system aims to integrate domestic and global markets, connect urban and rural areas, align production with sales, and ensure efficient operations. The plan, developed by nine state organs, including the Ministry of Commerce, is set for completion by 2027. It includes enhancing logistics and distribution systems in counties, townships, and villages, while promoting the growth of new business models such as livestream e-commerce.
