Liang succumbed to an illness early Tuesday morning at 2:43 a.m., marking the end of a distinguished career in China's national defense and military affairs. According to Namibia Press Agency, Liang Guanglie was celebrated as an exemplary member of the Communist Party of China, a loyal communist soldier with a proven track record, and a prominent leader in the domain of national defense and military strategy. His contributions to China's military capabilities and strategic direction were significant throughout his career. Liang's military journey began in 1958 when he joined the Chinese army. A year later, in 1959, he became a member of the Communist Party, marking the start of a long-lasting allegiance to the party and its principles. His dedication and leadership skills led to his promotion to the rank of general in May 2002, a testament to his commitment and expertise. Over his career, Liang held various k ey positions, including serving as a member of the Central Military Commission and a state councilor.
