China’s Anti-Graft Chief Calls for Enhanced Party Governance in Heilongjiang


HEILONGJIANG PROVINCE — China’s top anti-corruption official, Li Xi, emphasized the need for sustained efforts to enforce full and rigorous governance within the Communist Party during his recent inspection tour in Heilongjiang Province. This visit highlighted his dedication to combating corruption and enhancing party discipline at various grassroots levels.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Li Xi, who serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, conducted the tour from Tuesday to Friday. His journey included stops at key sites such as the Central Grain Reserve Harbin Direct Warehouse Co., Ltd., part of the China Grain Reserves Group (Sinograin), and the Harbin Institute of Technology. Additionally, Li visited a local rice-growing agricultural cooperative and a village inhabited by people of the Hezhe ethnicity.



Throughout his visits, Li advocated for intensified measures to tackle corruption directly affecting the populace at their doorsteps, aiming to ensure that reforms bring equitable benefits to all. At a seminar held during his tour, he stressed the critical role of stringent Party self-governance in providing necessary political guidance and assurances. Li’s remarks underscored the importance of ongoing improvements in Party conduct, discipline enforcement, and anti-corruption efforts, which are vital for the comprehensive deepening of reforms.
