Dateline: Tokyo: The 10th China-Japan Conference on Education Exchange and Cooperation was successfully held in Tokyo on Wednesday, attracting representatives from over 200 universities and schools. The conference aimed to bolster educational collaboration and cultural exchange between China and Japan.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the event commenced with an opening speech by Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wu Jianghao, who stressed the crucial role that educational exchanges play in international relations. He highlighted that such exchanges have historically contributed to the development of a substantial talent pool and have led to significant achievements in various sectors.

Ambassador Wu expressed optimism that the conference would pave the way for a promising future, bringing fresh energy to the cooperation between the two countries across multiple fields. Yoko Ito, an official from the Higher Education Bureau under the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, undersc
ored the importance of student exchanges, revealing that over 9,000 exchange agreements have been signed between universities in both nations. She emphasized that these exchanges are vital for fostering mutual understanding and establishing stable cooperative relations.

The conference featured three sub-forums where representatives engaged in discussions on various topics, including innovations and prospects for intercollegiate cooperation and talent cultivation in the digital era. This significant event was organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange and hosted by the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Center.
