Rundu: China's Ministry of Commerce announced Tuesday its decision to further extend the deadline for the ongoing safeguard investigation into imported beef until January 26, 2026, due to the complexity of the case.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the investigation initially commenced on December 27, 2024. It was later extended on August 6, 2025, with the new deadline set for November 26, 2025. The recent decision marks another extension, providing additional time for a thorough examination of the issues at hand.
