WINDHOEK – Jiang Zuojun, the Vice Chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, has conveyed China’s firm belief that Namibia will persist in the mission of the late President Hage Geingob, aiming for further national development and revitalization. Speaking at the memorial service for President Geingob, Zuojun highlighted the late president’s nearly decade-long leadership, which saw Namibia achieve societal stability, economic growth, and improvements in the quality of life for its citizens. These accomplishments, he noted, were evident across various sectors.
According to Namibia Press Agency, President Geingob played a pivotal role in fostering international and regional peace and development, earning him deep respect in Africa and the broader international community. Under his guidance, Namibia championed Pan-Africanism, encouraged African solidarity and integration, and stood firm in its commitment to international justice and fairness. Zuojun praised Geingob’s dedication to strengthening the ties between China and Namibia, as well as China’s relationship with Africa, stating that the people of China stand in solidarity with Namibians during this challenging time.
Zuojun reaffirmed China’s readiness to collaborate with Namibia in deepening their friendship and expanding cooperation across all fields, aiming to enhance bilateral relations further. He remembered President Geingob as a cherished friend of the Chinese people, who valued the development of relations with China and significantly contributed to the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership between the two nations.
