Namentenga: The Cheetah unit produces 6 tons of beans in Dargo for its food ration. The detachment leader of the unit, Guépard, Hamed Zerbo, in the commune of Dargo (Namentenga) and his elements on a mission to reconquer and restore the integrity of the national territory, devoted part of their leisure hours to the exploitation of a bean field, of approximately 2 ha. The detachment leader specified that with the technical support of agricultural agents in inputs, his unit produced 6 tons of beans for its food ration. According to Burkina Information Agency, detachment leader Hamed Zerbo expressed that the production of beans diversifies the food ration for the unit. This initiative not only strengthens camaraderie among the soldiers but also promotes the agricultural sector by encouraging the consumption of self-produced food. Zerbo highlighted his pride in the accomplishment, thanking his superior, Commander Gérard Sindogo, his colleagues, and the agricultural agents who supported the effort. The High Comm issioner, provincial directors, and the Guépard unit team visited the commune of Dargo to acknowledge the resilience of the resettled populations. Dargo, which was recaptured in 2023 after previously being under terrorist control, continues to see the resettlement of its communities.
