Dori: The regional director of preschool, primary education, and non-formal education (DREPPNF) of the Sahel, Elhadji Boubacar, held a meeting in Dori on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, to discuss preparations for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) examination and entry into sixth grade for the 2025 session. The meeting aimed to address the state of readiness in basic education districts, necessary budgets, and other organizational aspects.
According to Burkina Information Agency, 3,404 candidates, including 1,624 girls and 1,780 boys, are set to take the CEP examination in the Sahel region. The candidates are distributed across various provinces with 914 in Oudalan, 1,559 in S©no, 765 in Soum, and 166 in Yagha. The region will host the examination in 26 composition centers. Like their peers in other regions of Burkina Faso, second-year middle school students (CM2) in the Sahel will sit for their first school certificate on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
The successful execution of this examination is crucial, especially given the significant security challenges in the region. A final verification of the entire implementation system is essential to ensure smooth operations. Elhadji Boubacar, the regional director, convened a framework meeting with various stakeholders to finalize the technical and financial details necessary for the review. He expressed gratitude for the efforts made to maintain educational continuity in the region and emphasized the importance of vigilance and anticipation to ensure the exam's success.
