CEP 2026 in Kampti: DREPPNF Implements Inclusive Exam Measures for Visually Impaired Student

Kampti: On a supervisory mission to examination centers in Kampti, Inspector Sanoua S©verin SOMDA, head of mission for the Dj´r´ Regional Directorate of Primary, Secondary and Vocational Education (DREPPNF), accompanied by Ms. Da/Meda Lydie, observed the CEP (Primary School Leaving Certificate) and entrance exams for sixth grade on Wednesday, June 3. The visit also provided an opportunity to verify the special measures implemented by the Dj´r´ DREPPNF for a visually impaired candidate, including adapting the font of the exam papers to ensure her equal access to the examination.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a mission from the Regional Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of Dj´r´ carried out a supervisory visit on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, to the various examination centers for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and the entrance examination for sixth grade in the commune of Kampti.

Led by Inspector Sanoua S©verin SOMDA and accompanied by Ms. Da/M©da Lydie from the regional examinations and competitions department, the delegation went to observe the actual conduct of the tests on the ground.

The head of mission stated that the visit aims to ensure compliance with regulatory provisions and the conditions for the composition of candidates. "We came to observe the conduct of the tests in the different centers and to ensure that all the planned arrangements are effectively implemented to guarantee the credibility and serenity of the examination," said Mr. SOMDA.

The mission also focused on a particular situation in the commune of Kampti, where a visually impaired candidate is participating in the tests. To enable the student to compose under favorable conditions, the DREPPNF of Dj´r´ has adapted the font of the subjects in accordance with the candidate's specific needs.

'Education is a right for all. The adaptations made to the tests reflect our desire to allow each candidate to defend their chances under fair conditions, whatever their constraints,' stressed Inspector Sanoua S©verin SOMDA.

Candidate Edith HIEN expressed her gratitude to the educational authorities for the measures taken on her behalf. 'I am happy to be able to work with subjects adapted to my vision. This allows me to read texts more easily and to work with more confidence.'

At the end of the visit, the head of mission expressed satisfaction with the findings made in the centers visited and praised the commitment of the various stakeholders involved in the success of the session. 'The center managers, supervisors, and all those involved are carrying out their mission diligently.
