Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso — Jorge Alberto Ganoza Durant, the president and CEO of the Canadian group Fortuna Silver Mines, met with Minister Yacouba Zabré Gouba on Monday to discuss the operations and future projects of his company in Burkina Faso. The meeting took place in the capital city, focusing on the ongoing activities at the Yaramoko gold mine in the commune of Bagassi, Mouhoun.
According to Burkina Information Agency, The Yaramoko gold mine, acquired by Fortuna Silver Mines in July 2021 from another Canadian company, Roxgold, is part of the company’s broader strategy in the region, which includes not only mining operations but also exploration activities in other parts of Burkina Faso.
