Centre-West Region Sees Extensive CNIB Enrollment Drive Targeting Boulkiemde

Boulkiemde: The regional branch of the National Identification Office (ONI) is intensifying efforts to ensure that residents of the Center-West region, particularly in the Boulkiemde province, have access to the Burkinab¨ National Identity Card (CNIB). This expansive data collection campaign aims to reach all citizens, focusing on those in rural and remote communities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative commenced on Monday, May 12, and is set to continue until Saturday, May 30, 2025. The campaign's primary goal is to increase the possession rate of the CNIB, a vital document for exercising civil rights and maintaining human dignity. ONI's services are being brought closer to the people to facilitate this process.

The enrollment campaign will span numerous communes and villages in Boulkiemde, following a detailed schedule. It includes stops in Pella, Nandiala Center, Nazoanga, Goala, Tampelga, Ouoro, Bonsnonore, Sigoguin, Ipendo, Soum, Rana, Poesse, Manevire, Bangre, Guirgo, Nassoulou, Palogo, Nariou, Zekemzoukou, Kalwaka, Kolweogo, Bologo, Gouloure, Mankoula, and Villoa, covering specific dates from May 12 to May 30, 2025.

Eligibility for the program requires individuals to be aged 15 or older and to present either a birth certificate or a Burkinabe nationality certificate. A nominal registration fee of 2,500 CFA francs is necessary for processing.

The ONI is calling upon the residents of Boulkiemde to participate actively in the campaign. The agency emphasizes the importance of obtaining a legal identity as a fundamental right and a step towards enhanced inclusion and participation in national affairs.
