Centre-East: Two economic operators and an individual from the Center-East region donated 1,380 jackets to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) engaged in the reconquest of the territory, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in Tenkodogo. The donors, who preferred to remain anonymous, handed over the 23 bales of jackets to the mission manager of the presidency of Faso for the Center-East region, Adaman Kamboné.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the jackets were subsequently forwarded by Adaman Kamboné to the representative of the Chief of Staff of the 61st Commando Infantry Regiment (RIC). Each bale contains 60 jackets, making a total of 1,380 jackets ready for immediate distribution to the VDP. The donation ceremony was overseen by Adaman Kamboné, who emphasized the importance of this gesture in aiding the VDPs during the cold season.
The donors made it clear that their contribution was in response to an appeal by the mission officer of the President of Faso, Adaman Kamboné. He highlig
hted that this initiative reflects the ongoing commitment and generosity of the region’s inhabitants to support national efforts. “These acts of solidarity show that, even in the face of challenges, the spirit of mutual aid remains a deeply rooted value among the populations of the Centre-East,” Kamboné stated.
Adaman Kamboné expressed gratitude for this significant contribution and called for more support from other benevolent individuals. He noted that the needs remain considerable and encouraged widespread participation. “We invite everyone to contribute massively to this operation, which aims to equip more than 11,000 VDPs in the region with warm clothing to face this cold period,” he urged.
