Koudougou: The Governor of the Center-West region, Jean Yves B©r©, called on Monday for patriotism and “support for the ongoing revolution,” on the occasion of the monthly flag-raising ceremony, AIB noted on site in Koudougou. The Governor of the Centre-West, Adama Jean Yves B©r©, delivered a meaningful speech during the monthly ceremony of raising the colors within the Regional Directorate of Water and Forests of the Centre-West.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor praised the commitment to national symbols and emphasized the patriotic nature of this act. He welcomed “the popular support for the ongoing revolution, particularly in the face of criticism from American General Michael Langley.” He highlighted the significant financial commitment of Burkinabe people to the Patriotic Support Fund, with 33 billion CFA francs collected as of March 23, 2025, which is essential for the FDS and VDP. Mr. B©r© paid tribute to their commitment and spoke of the government’s takeover of strategic sectors to safeguard national interests.



The Governor emphasized Burkina Faso’s sovereignist dynamic in the face of foreign interference, denouncing maneuvers aimed at destabilizing the country. He welcomed the popular mobilization of April 30 as an affirmation of national sovereignty. Finally, he recalled regional initiatives, including Burkinabe Heritage Month and Student Teacher Recognition Week, calling for mobilization for a dignified and prosperous Burkina Faso.
