Center-East Region Encouraged to Support National Efforts During Patriotic Commitment Days

Tenkodogo: Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, governor of the Center-East region, led the official launch of the second edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation on Wednesday, October 2, in Tenkodogo, with a call for regional support for the national transition authorities.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the theme of this year’s event, “For a Strong and Sovereign Nation, Let Us Not Betray Our Homeland,” reflects the need for unity and patriotism. He urged the vital forces of the region to assist the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) in their mission to reclaim Burkinabe territory from insurgents and to demonstrate loyalty to the nation.



The event included a flag-raising ceremony and a reaffirmation of the region’s commitment to the efforts of the transitional government in stabilizing and securing the country.
