CEB Ouaga n°7 Clinches Kadiogo Province Sports Trophy

Ouagadougou: The Ouaga No. 7 Basic Education District (CEB) triumphed in the sports activities organized by the Provincial Directorate of Basic Education in Kadiogo, defeating CEB 4 in a closely contested match. According to Burkina Information Agency, Alexandre Yameogo, the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Kadiogo, emphasized the importance of fostering social cohesion through sports at the closing event in Ouagadougou. The event marked the end of three weeks of sports and cultural activities in the region. The tournament concluded with a thrilling match in which CEB Ouaga n°7 secured victory over CEB Ouaga n°4 with a score of 2-1. The success of the event highlighted the talents and abilities of the participating children, fostering friendships among them, as noted by Yameogo. The theme for this edition was "Sport and culture in primary school: a lever for reconciliation and social cohesion." Louis Modeste Ouedraogo, president of the High Council for Communication and sponsor of the event, advocated for the continuation of such initiatives to instill values of sharing and cohesion in children. For their triumph, CEB Ouaga n°7 was awarded a trophy, 75,000 CFA francs, medals, and various other prizes. The runner-up, CEB Ouaga n°4, received medals, cash prizes, and 50,000 CFA francs. Other participating teams were also awarded numerous prizes and special recognitions. In the women's final, CEB Ouaga n°11 faced off against Ouaga n°4, with CEB Ouaga n°4 emerging victorious with a score of 2-1.
