CEAST Highlights President Lourenço’s Tribute to Alvor Agreement Signatories


Saurimo: The president of the Episcopal Conference of Angola and So Tomé (CEAST), Dom Manuel Imbamba, praised President Joo Lourenço’s humanistic approach in honoring the signatories of the Alvor Agreement during a speech in Saurimo, Lunda-Sul. This acknowledgment was made on Friday in response to the president’s State of the Nation address, delivered at the commencement of the parliamentary year.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the prelate remarked that President Lourenço’s recognition of the signatories is a significant political gesture that symbolizes a move toward reconciliation. The bishop noted that this act of humility serves as a turning point in the nation’s political landscape and is crucial for fostering unity.
