Luanda: 12 days before the arrival of Pope Leo XVI in Angola, the Catholic believers of the Parish of the Holy Redeemer of Kilamba are experiencing a climate of great expectation regarding the visit, in general, and in particular the open mass that the Holy Father will celebrate in the centrality, on April 19, at 9am, in Luanda.
According to Angola Press News Agency, it is already possible to see advances in setting up the scene, including the structure of the papal podium, other facilities and asphalt, to ensure more comfort during the historical and spiritual event.
In an interview with ANGOP, Ivan Falco, resident of the district, classified it as 'a historic honor' for the city, highlighting that 'it will be an important moment not only for the country, but also for our Catholic community and beyond'. He added that the visit will bring blessings, harmony, peace between families and dignity for the most vulnerable.
For the faithful Filomena Cassumba, also a resident of the centrality, the spiritual impact will be profound. "It will awaken a feeling of belonging and unity, showing that we are not alone in faith. It is something that remains in our memory and in our hearts," she said, highlighting the privilege of hosting an event of this size in the community.

"The Pope is a figure who transmits messages of peace, humility and love for others. His presence in our country will undoubtedly be a historic and spiritual moment for all of us," he said.
Regina Henda expressed gratitude: "first we thank God for this privilege. May the arrival of the Holy Father bring peace, transformation in governance and blessings to the Angolan people."
