According to Burkina Information Agency, the celebration took place at the parish of Sainte Maria Goretti in To©c©, marking the beginning of Holy Week in the Catholic Christian faith. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Father Richard Zongo, who emphasized the role of Christians as unifiers, advocating for forgiveness, sharing, and tolerance.
Father Richard Zongo, during his homily, urged every Catholic Christian to actively engage in society, showcasing civic responsibility and patriotic commitment. He highlighted that peace in a society is established through the efforts of its members.
He extended his wishes for a fruitful Holy Week to the entire community.
