CARFO Launches Solidarity Cup to Foster Worker Cohesion

OUAGADOUGOU: The Autonomous Civil Servants’ Pension Fund (CARFO) inaugurated the first edition of the Solidarity Cup on Friday evening, aiming to enhance social cohesion among workers. The event, held in Ouagadougou, was attended by Bassolma Bazié, the Minister of State and Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection.

According to Burkina Information Agency, CARFO’s general manager, Hyacinthe Tamalgo, stated that the tournament seeks to promote unity among employees while increasing awareness about the organization’s services. The week-long event will also feature discussions on CARFO’s technical services, including retirement pensions and professional risks.

Minister Bassolma Bazié encouraged teams to engage in fair play and foster camaraderie on the field. He emphasized the inclusive nature of the competition, stating, “In this competition, there will be no winner or loser. There will only be winners, because the primary objective of this competition is to strengthen solidarity between the sons
and daughters of our country.”

The launch of the CARFO Solidarity Cup saw participation from distinguished personalities, including the Grand Chancellor of the Burkinabe Orders, General Pingrenoma Zagré.
