Nairobi: Car and General Trading Limited, the official distributor of TVS motorcycles in Kenya, has launched the TVS HLX 125, a new model equipped with five gears, aimed at enhancing the riding experience across diverse terrains. The motorcycle boasts features such as low maintenance, optimal fuel efficiency, and robust performance, making it suitable for both urban and rural settings. According to Kenya News Agency, David Chesoni, Managing Director of Car and General, and Rahul Nayak, Vice President of International Business at TVS Motor Company of India, jointly unveiled the motorcycle in Nairobi. Chesoni emphasized the model's strong and durable 125 cc engine, which supports low maintenance and high savings due to consistent fuel efficiency. He highlighted the 5-gear transmission system that enhances power and speed, alongside dust bellows and flexible turn signal lamps that reduce maintenance needs. Chesoni explained the stability features of the HLX 125, including an 18-inch alloy wheel, longer wheelba se, and duragrip tires. He also noted the significant role motorcycles have played in transforming lives by offering employment and reliable last-mile connectivity for commercial taxis and deliveries. Rahul Nayak praised the TVS HLX series for its reliability in last-mile connectivity, marking a decade of success in Africa with over 3.5 million vehicles sold globally. He expressed confidence that the TVS HLX 125 would set new standards in performance, safety, and reliability, becoming a preferred choice for customers. The motorcycle is equipped with a headlamp visor, new graphics, electric start, gear and fuel indicators, a USB port, and a strong shock absorber. The launch event drew a diverse audience, including dealers, corporate customers, financiers, government officials, and industry representatives.
